Not only will you be intensely involved in learning the skills necessary to be a successful farrier (horseshoeing, forging, gait analysis and more) but you will also have enough of a business background to be a serious and successful business competitor. Talk about an in-depth hands-on program! Not only will you see, learn, and hear, you will have ample opportunities to shoe many different types of feet. You will also develop a business plan in Equine Business Management and market yourself through Equine Marketing.
Jobs for Grads
The Farrier Science and Business program prepares graduates to create their own farrier business, and to work in portions of a larger horse industry operation.
