The Program
It is clear that healthcare is changing. The public has demanded safe,
proven alternatives to conventional medicine, and holistic and alternative
healing therapies seem to be the paradigm of the future. If you are interested
in a full associate degree, or in a specific aspect of the program, this
non-traditional approach to educational delivery may suit your needs.
The technical courses have been modularized to offer intensified learning in
a concentrated time frame.
Associate of Applied Science in Holistic Health & Wellness
This six-quarter program is designed to merge holistic health and wellness
training with applied business coursework that will prepare you to open
your own practice in your chosen area(s) of expertise, or to enable
you to be a part of a larger team of helpers with an alternative
healthcare focus.
Perhaps the best way to understand the program is to explore a few courses

Introduction to Natural Healing Systems
Provides the foundation from which this tradition of healing is grounded.
Multicultural perspectives of healing are explored, including the varying
philosophies of allopathic and holistic medicine.

Energy Anatomy
Discover how the energy system interfaces with the physical, mental, and
emotional systems. Explore the chakra system, the aura, subtle energy
bodies and the meridians and more.

Touch for Health
Grounded in applied Kinesiology, learn simple and practical ways to accelerate
recovery from illnesses or injuries. From the use of pressure on
neurolymphatic points to meridian tracing, this hands-on approach to healing
can greatly help those in need.

Energy Assessment Tools
Explore energy assessment, and how to address imbalance in energy.
Tools to include muscle testing (kinesiology), iridology, aura and energy
fields, bioacoustics, and meridian assessment options.

Holistic Approach to Healing
Several major illnesses wrack the American population today: from cancer
and diabetes to heart disease and obesity, juxtapose allopathic perspectives
of treating these illnesses with those of energy medicine and naturopathic
medicine.

Association for Comprehensive Energy Psychology (ACEP) Certificate
The associate degree in Holistic Health & Wellness is compatible with the
Association for Comprehensive Energy Psychology (ACEP) certification program.
Students may work concurrently on ACEP certification along with their HC degree
studies. After completion the Hocking College degree and of all ACEP
requirements for eligibility (including hours of professional practice)
students may apply to be either:
- Diplomate, Comprehensive Energy Psychology (D.CEP) for licensed mental
health professionals (or the equivalent in your location to being licensed)
- Certified Energy Health Practitioner (C.EHP) for practitioners in a broad
range of allied health and human potential fields.
