Saving lives. Know what to do and respond in those crucial moments that can mean the difference between life and death. Explore Hocking College's Paramedic/EMS program.
The Program
Become an EMT or Paramedic. You'll be a member of the medical care team that gives immediate care at the scene of an accidental injury, sudden illness, or during transport to the hospital. Learn the skills to provide competent pre-hospital care. Prepare for supervisory, management, and public education positions with the associate degree program. Or, select a shorter certificate program to prepare for the National Registry Exam. Choose from.
- EMT Basic
- EMT Advanced
- EMT Paramedic
Learn By Doing
Classroom experiences are coupled with lab exercises in our state-of-the-art Public Safety Services building. Get on the job training in local hospitals during clinical experiences- and don't forget on-squad experiences. Use much of the same equipment that is available currently in the field.
Jobs for Grads
Out of the Box - Right after graduation, you'll be qualified as both a flight and field medic. Jobs also are available in other emergency services, such as fire service, hospitals, or government agencies.
