Bookstore

Hocking College Bookstore has everything you need, ranging from new and used textbooks, classroom and laboratory supplies to clothing and gift items, along with gift cards. We accept cash, personal checks, VISA and Mastercard and, if eligible, students can use existing, verifiable, financial aid to make purchases. During the last week of each term, the Bookstore buys books back from students for as much as 60 percent of the original price paid for the book, depending on need and condition.

First week of Autumn and Spring Term

Monday-Thursday 8:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m.
Friday 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.

Second week of Autumn and Spring Term

Monday-Thursday 8:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.
Friday 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.

Remainder of the Term (Even During Summer and Breaks)

Monday-Friday 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.

You can use the online Book Catalog link to determine what books you need for your classes each term.

Bookstore Policies and Procedures

Students are responsible for all purchase decisions and purchases. Please go to class and verify that you have purchased the correct books and materials before unwrapping, opening, using or marking in the materials. Once materials are opened and/or altered, they are not returnable to the Bookstore.

Book Return Policy

100 percent refund if the following criteria are met:

  1. Book is bought and returned within first two weeks of term or returned within two weeks of receipt date, or
  2. Class is canceled (Book must be returned by last day of term with proof of cancelation.)
  • Book is in same condition as purchased (i.e. Must be in new condition if purchased new.)
  • No writing in book.
  • No bent pages.
  • No broken spine.
  • If book was originally shrink-wrapped, original shrink-wrapping must still be intact.

College Cash Policy

If book was purchased by cash or check, refund is always in the form of a check issued by the college, based upon the status of student's account.
