SUB CODE: AMREAD
FUNCTION: Under the direct supervision of the H.O.P.E. Center Coordinator Tutor children, grades 1-8, in reading and/or math and help with homework.

% of TIME JOB DUTIES SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE
90% Tutor children, grades 1-6, in reading and/or math.. Enjoys working with children, Good reader, patient, dependable, Good math skills (if tutoring math)
Knowledge and operation of equipment in the lab/classroom area, Attention to detail
10%
Assist classroom teacher with various clerical tasks.

MINIMUM POSITION DESCRIPTION REQUIREMENTS: (Critical Factors)
  • Enjoy working with elementary - age children
  • No criminal record
  • Must be workstudy eligible (please check with Financial Aid office for verification)
  • Must have own transportation
  • Must be able to work a minimum of 8 hours per week, Fall - Spring Qtr. Monday through Friday, between 9:30 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.
