SUB CODE: CUSTOD
FUNCTION: Under the direct supervision of the Head Custodian

% of TIME JOB DUTIES SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE
90% Performs primarily interior building custodial tasks: Empty trash, dust, clean chalkboards, sweep carpets, clean windows and light fixtures, assist mop/wax/ strip tile floors, replace light bulbs, wash walls, clean water fountains, vacuum furniture, wash mirrors, empty pencil sharpeners, clean elevator, wash/sweep/replace floor mats, sweep/ wash stairs.
  • Knowledge of cleaning chemicals
  • Ability to lift heavy objects
  • Attention to detail Communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize
  • Knowledge of equipment used in housekeeping / maintenance
  • Organizational skills
  • Public relations skills & Ability to work with others
  • Ability to calculate fractions, decimals, and percentages
  • Ability to follow instruction manuals.

Assists with special event arrangements: Aid with set up for graduation, nurse capping, job fairs, and other special events.
