Summit on the River

Summit on the RiverSummit on the River and Sycamore Hall are located next to one another on East Green Drive, across the river from the main campus. Both residence halls are within walking distance to shopping, restaurants, and grocery stores. Summit is organized into suites where two double rooms share a bathroom. In Sycamore Hall, each room has its own bathroom. Both residence halls are alcohol and smoke free.

Free parking is available outside each residence hall if you bring a car to campus. The main campus is a short walk or bike ride from Summit on the River & Sycamore Hall.

Security features include a computerized, monitored fire alarm and sprinkler system, front door magnetic card reader, common area security cameras with direct link to Campus Safety, and individual punch code door locks.

Features
Rooms feature loft-style or bunk beds with extra long mattresses, desks, dressers (in rooms with loft-style beds), wardrobes, and a combination microwave/refrigerator/freezer. The kitchen and dining areas are equipped with steel sinks, electric stovetops/ovens, and seating. Laundry facilities are available in each building. Each room is equipped with a telephone jack with free local telephone service and is cable ready. A big-screen television with free cable is made available in each hall’s common area. The buildings offer free wireless internet service for those that bring their own computer (wireless internet capability required). Amenities include vending machines, elevators, foosball tables, basketball courts, a sand volleyball court, tetherball, horseshoe pits, bicycle racks, and a picnic area with barbeque grills. Peer tutoring is available as well as diverse program opportunities based on resident interest.

Each room comes with a bed (extra long mattress), desk and wardrobe. Some rooms have lofted beds. Residents may bring other items as they wish, but all college furniture must stay in the room.

Choice of Roommates
When possible, roommates are assigned by technology, personality compatibility assessment, smoking/non-smoking, personal information sheets, etc. Your roommate preferences can best be satisfied when you apply early and pay in full.

Some options may not be available to late applicants or payees.
