NELSONVILLE –
Eighteen first and second year Hocking College students have been named to the 2007 President’s List, four for the second consecutive year.
William Hanning of Pomeroy, Laney Foster of East Palestine, Edward Entsminger of Xenia, and Lindsey Vangundy of Caledonia; are all second year students and second time honorees.
Lisa Bowers of Logan, Lindsay Garner of Somerset, Melony Headley and Narda Malcolm, both of Jamaica; Machelle King of New Lexington, Gregory Gant of Vienna WV and Glenna Pavlov of Bremen, are also second year students and first time honorees.
First year students are Rissa Maze Abram of New Lexington and Jade Archer of Ashland.
President’s List is the college’s most prestigious award with less than one half of one percent of the student body chosen for recognition. Selection is based on scholarship, leadership and community service and students were honored at a banquet hosted by Hocking College President John Light, attended by board of trustees and administrators.
The Trustees’ Award recipient to a member or members of the 2007 graduating class will be selected from among President’s List students. The announcement will be made at the recognition reception held the evening before graduation.
