The Office of Community Standards and Equity

The purpose of the Office of Community Standards and Equity is to provide a safe, comfortable, and unbiased environment for students to discuss conflicts, complaints or disputes. The office staff will help students develop strategies and options for resolving issues, provide information regarding policies and procedures and state the college's expectations of them while enrolled at Hocking College.

At Hocking College, student members are expected to familiarize themselves with the Student Code of Conduct, accessible on the Hocking College website. The code was designed to protect the integrity of the campus environment. A fair process allowing students to respond to any allegation of code violations is reviewed by the Director of CS&E. Students may be informed about how to register a judicial complaint. We have a philosophy of education relating to campus discipline that is employed.

Students are expected to respect fellow students, staff and faculty, take personal responsibility for their actions, practice fair-mindedness, be tolerant of differences, demonstrate civility and practice honesty.
