Hocking College Energy Institute offers two full associate degree programs in advanced energy training: In addition to these two associate degrees, the campus also offers short-term certificate training and specialized industry training programs in the advanced energy and automotive hybrids fields.
The Energy Institute is an approved provider of the North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners (NABCEP) Entry-Level Solar PV Installers training program. This five-day intensive training teaches the basic technology and skills required for entry-level knowledge of the design and installation of solar photovoltaic systems. These skills do not replace electrical, technical and engineering trades; rather they are appropriate for a supervised position with a PV installer or other PV industry company. Participants who successfully complete the exam given at the end of this training are granted the PV Entry Level Certificate of Knowledge issued by the NABCEP. This training satisfies the requirements for a board recognized training program that is needed, along with work experience, to qualify to sit for the NABCEP PV Installer Certification Exam. |
