Hocking College Foundation

Nestled in the beautiful rolling hills of Southeastern Ohio, in the heart of Appalachia, Hocking College is the place where dreams come true. Affordable and accessible - Hocking provides a great education at a fraction of the cost of four-year universities.

Students enjoy the hands-on approach to teaching and learning that is the hallmark of Hocking College. And, employers appreciate that when they hire a Hocking graduate, they know they're getting someone who has experience doing the work.

The Hocking College Foundation engages in fundraising in order to provide support for students and to enhance programs and services. Our vision is for all our graduates to leave debt free and ready to launch an exciting and meaningful career.

Mission

The Hocking College Foundation exists to advance the mission of Hocking College, by providing resources for key programs and initiatives tied to college strategies.

Strategies

The Hocking College Foundation will invest in the following:

  • Systems/programs/projects that help the college to better manage educational programming and systems of student support for both traditional and non-traditional student populations.
  • Systems/programs/projects that help the college, at strategic, master and/or operational levels to create an environment of data-informed decision-making and continuous improvement.
  • Systems/programs/projects that help students to meet their educational goals for both degree-seeking students and the region's incumbent workforce.
  • Systems/programs/projects that support Hocking College being a center of learning for students, staff, and faculty - to lead a life of learning, for the purposes of career advancement professional development, personal enrichment, and institutional improvement.
  • Strengthening existing partnerships and creating new alliances to better serve its constituents at the local, regional, state, national and international levels.

Goals and Objectives

  1. Create and launch a fully functioning Foundation, including the following:
    • Alumni Relations Program
    • Annual Fund Campaign
    • Grants Program
    • Major Gifts Program
    • Planned Giving Program
  2. Adopt industry standard best practices, policies and procedures
