About the Foundation

History

The Hocking College Foundation was incorporated on October 21, 1992 to solicit private support enabling Hocking College to achieve and maintain a measure of excellence and to undertake development programs to enhance the college's educational and public service mission.

The Hocking College Foundation is a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) corporation, responsible for the coordination of philanthropic and fundraising initiatives within the private sector and external support for the college's programs, students, faculty and staff. The college communicates directly with the Officers and the Board of the Foundation describing the needs and goals of the college so that the efforts of the Foundation will be compatible with college purposes.

Governance

As a not-for-profit corporation, Hocking College Foundation is committed to the best practices in governance, accountability and transparency in all that we do.

Foundation Board of Directors

Hocking College Foundation is guided by a Board of Directors that is comprised of alumni, local business leaders, and others who are committed to advancing educational opportunities for students. The board provides advice and counsel on a broad range of policy and operational matters and exercises overall responsibility for the programs and direction of the Foundation. Board members, who are elected to serve three-year terms, observe and annually sign the Foundation's conflict of interest and confidentiality policies.
