Welcome to On Campus Living at Hocking College!

Move In Information

Summer Semester

Move-in is scheduled for Sunday, May 19, 2013 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Due to limited staffing for the summer break, no move-ins will be permitted prior to this time. To check in to your summer room assignment, simply go to Downhour Hall. Staff will be available in the lobby at that time to assist you with the check in process. Downhour Hall is the only hall available for summer occupancy.

Autumn Semester

Move-in will take place in two different phases. Those students registered for Smart Start will move-in on Saturday and Sunday, August 24 and 25 from 9 a.m. - 6 p.m. Smart Start will officially begin Sunday evening.

August 24

  • Downhour and North Halls floors 3, 5 and 7
  • Hocking Heights floor 3
  • Summit on the River and Sycamore Hall floor 2

August 25

  • Downhour and North Halls floors 2, 4 and 6
  • Hocking Heights floor 2
  • Summit on the River and Sycamore Hall floor 1

First year students who opt not to register for Smart Start or students not registered for Smart Start can move-in either Saturday, August 31 or Sunday, September 1. Check-in times are also from 9 a.m. - 6 p.m. in the lobbies of the assigned buildings.

Students will not be permitted to move into the residence halls until payment is secured for their assignment. Full payment, or enrollment in the payment plan must be in place prior to the payment deadline. Payments or payment plan enrollment can be made via Cashiers and Records at 740.753.7029. Payment deadlines for the 2013-14 academic year are as follows:

  • Summer Semester - May 1, 2013
  • Autumn Semester - July 1, 2013
  • Spring Semester - December 1, 2013

Room assignments will be made three to four weeks prior to the beginning of the term. Students will be notified via mail or telephone of their assignment and roommate information.
