Not only is Hocking College your fastest option, but also one of the most economical. Dr. Ron Erickson, President of Hocking College, issued the following statement on Monday, November 2, 2009, "In recognition of their service, all out-of-state active, active-reserve, and veteran military personnel are to be charged the College's current in-state tuition rate whenever enrolling in Hocking College coursework." The tuition cost per semester hour for 24-week online military education courses are $180 with a $52.50 per semester hour online/distance learning course fee. Tuition for online 24-week courses is $234.75 per semester hour, which is broken down as a $180 instructional fee and a $54.75 general service fee. The general service fee is covered by scholarship for all Servicemembers engaged in 24-week online courses.

Tuition Funding Sources

Hocking falls under the Federal Tuition Assistance (FTA) cap and will allow you to take up to 19 hours each year without having to touch any other funding sources. Because the $4,500 annual TA allowance is renewable annually for as long as you are serving, it is sometimes the best option to use first, and then use your GI Bill benefits or other funding sources.
