Perry Campus: "Your Access to Success"

Consider earning your Hocking College education at the Perry Campus located at New Lexington, Ohio. Hocking College Perry Campus, situated just west of the city of New Lexington, is located in a lovely rural setting. The campus is located approximately 55 miles southeast of Columbus and is accessible by several state highways.

Programs & Courses

At Hocking College Perry Campus, you'll have the opportunity to complete general coursework in any of the programs offered at Hocking College's Nelsonville Campus. Additionally, you can participate in transfer programs that guarantee your acceptance into any state-funded college or university in Ohio. Most of the general course requirements for the nursing program are also available at the local campus.

Social Services, Corrections and Criminal Justice

A non-degree offering at the Perry Campus is the Commercial Driver's License (CDL) 160-hour course. This course is offered in New Lexington through a collaborative effort with Southern State Community College, which manages the CDL program and provides enrollment for this course. Hocking students enrolled in the Heavy Equipment Management degree program often earn the CDL credential by completing this class, or immediately upon graduation from the degree program. The CDL course covers all the items students need to pass the state licensing examination and is augmented with ample driving time in a commercial tractor-trailer rig.

About the Campus

The campus has a staff of five, supporting eight full-time and 20 adjunct faculty, with more than 500 students. Our faculty is comprised of instructional personnel from a variety of backgrounds and experiences, including working professionals.While most coursework is offered in a traditional format, the Perry Campus also offers courses in the PACE (personally accelerated career education) format, and these classes may be started at any time during the academic term.

Student Recognition

Hocking College Perry Campus participates in honors programs with Phi Theta Kappa, the international honor society of two-year colleges. Since the local Beta Lambda Nu Chapter of PTK was chartered in 2003, several students have been named to the All-Ohio Academic First, Second and Third teams.
