Advanced Energy


Associate of Applied Science in Advanced Energy

The Advanced Energy program is offered exclusively at our Energy Institute in Logan, Ohio.
Be on the cutting edge of technology with Hocking College’s program in Advanced Energy technology. As the United States strives to reduce its dependence on foreign oil and to reduce greenhouse gasses generated by traditional fossil fuels such as gasoline, a great demand for energy technicians trained to construct, install, troubleshoot, modify and test multiple types of advanced energy equipment has been created. Hocking’s advanced energy degree program trains you in non-fossil fuel energy applications and prepares you for a wide variety of advanced energy jobs. Your course of study includes solar, wind power and solar thermal.

The study of commercial, industrial and residential use of solar electrical systems and wind turbines provides you with a well-rounded background in other forms of advanced energy. System costs, maintenance and appropriate applications will also be examined. 

The advanced energy degree program from Hocking College prepares you for the workforce through a comprehensive, well-rounded education in the world of advanced energy. With this unique set of courses, you will be set for a variety of advanced energy jobs.

Program Outcomes
