Financial Aid Information Sessions
A college education is a great investment and can be affordable, especially if a two-year college is part of the plan. Hocking College will hold Paying for College information sessions to help prospective students and families learn how to pay for college using financial aid, scholarships and other resources.
Paying for College Night is free and open to everyone, as attendees do not have to be a Hocking College applicant to attend. At Paying for College Night, participants can get hands-on help completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). They will learn about different types of aid including loans, grants, scholarships and student employment.
Information will also be available about Hocking College scholarships. Upcoming 2016 graduates from high schools in Athens, Fairfield, Hocking, Perry, Pickaway or Ross County may be eligible for the Hocking District Scholars Tuition Assistance program. Award amounts are based on the parent's adjusted gross income and can cover up to the cost of tuition (up to 16 credit hours) not covered by the Federal Pell Grant.
All paying for college information sessions will be held at the Hocking College main campus:
- Monday, Oct 10th - Reserve a seat
- Monday, Oct 17th - Reserve a seat
- Monday, Oct 24th - Reserve a seat
