REX - Igniting the Entrepreneurial Spirit of iGen and Gen Z
Each school is invited to compose one or two small teams of 8-12 students who are interested in learning more about effecting change for our environment, community, or social structure and entrepreneurial business development. Each school will present a preliminary business venture concept for further discussion at the Regional Entrepreneurship Exposition.
Teams will be guided through a workshop designed to give the basic framework of business development and will come away with the basic knowledge of evaluating a business concept and methodology for developing a business model canvass.
The day will include fast paced PechaKacha-style presentations from local entrepreneurs who will share stories of inspiration for their own endeavors. Students will be exposed to the reality of owning their own business as well as learning what it means to have an entrepreneurial spirit that can be carried into any job setting.
Each high school will receive $500 for transportation to this event. Refreshments and lunch will be provided. Additionally, schools will have the opportunity to win scholarship funding for the upcoming 2019 Entrepreneurial Enterprise Immersion Summer Experience.
