Students will not be permitted to move into the residence halls until payment is secured for their assignment.
Payment in full or enrollment in the payment plan must be in place prior to the payment deadline. Applicants submitting an application past the payment deadline must have payment in place or be enrolled in the payment plan at the time of application.

The check-in process will begin at 9 a.m. and run through 6 p.m. Room assignments for new students will take place after January 1st, 2019 for those individuals with payment in place (see Housing Payment below). Students will be notified via US Mail, their Hocking College email address, or telephone regarding their assignment and roommate information after this date.
Spring Break 2019:
March 11-15, 2019
The residence halls will remain open during the break period, March 11th- 15th, 2019. Students are permitted to be in the halls during this time. Students should be aware that the campus offices are closed during this time period and limited services will be provided.
Spring Semester 2019: Check-Out
May 11, 2019 at 12PM
The residence halls will close for the 2018-2019 academic year at 12pm, noon, on May 11, 2019, for those students not graduating. For those students that are graduating, check-out must be completed by 5 p.m. on the day of graduation. Prior to departure, all residential students must check out with a Residence Life staff member. The Residence Life staff will have a meeting the week prior to finals to cover all necessary closing information. Students must complete the following as part of the end of the year checkout process. Completing this checklist does not excuse the student from checking out with a Residence Life Staff member.
- Remove all personal items and trash from the room
- Sweep and mop the floors
- Clean the provided refrigerator and microwave
- Defrost the refrigerator (including accumulated moisture from thawing process)
- Clean bathroom (if assigned to room with private/semi-private bathroom)
- Close windows and set HVAC unit to Cool/70 degrees Fahrenheit (if provided in room)
- Check out with a Residence Life staff member
All students must check-out of their residential assignment by the building closing deadline, even if the student is a planning on residing on campus for the summer term. Failure to check-out with a Residence Life staff member may result in a $50 improper check-out fee and any additional fees generated as a result of any required cleaning/repairs.
