Educational Outreach Support - Oakley Hall 210

Function To provides support and assistance for the Office of Educational Outreach.

80% Education Outreach Office Oakley 210 reception area: provide assistance to general public and answer questions regarding Hocking College Services. Greet and assist faculty, staff, students, and clients upon entering the college. Answer the telephone in a courteous and professional manner.  Assist with mailings, bulletin board displays. Assists the office staff of Oakley 210 with any other office related tasks.

Excellent telephone skills.

  • Excellent communication skills (reading, writing, speaking and listening)
  • Proper telephone etiquette.
  • Typing and Computer skills (definitely Word and Excel) (Publisher and Power Point would be helpful)
  • Organizational skills (ability to prioritize work and to be flexible enough to be pulled from one thing to another at times)
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Initiative (ability to work independently after receiving instruction)
  • Excellent Customer service skills.
  • Maintain professional skills and attitude (follows policies/procedures, works safely, maintain professional image)
  • Must be reliable and dependable (report to work when scheduled to do so)
  • Must have ample knowledge about the College.
15% Perform clerical duties as assigned.
5% General office maintenance, including vacuuming, dusting, window cleaning, straightening of books, magazines, pamphlets, etc., and keeping the office tidy and neat.
