GeoEnvironmental Science students recently took a field trip to examine Ohio's bedrock at numerous outcrops across the state. In the required Ohio Geology course, students study the physical attributes, economic significance and geologic origin of Ohio's rocks.
The course provides students hands-on experience with Ohio's important bedrock units, as well as a foundation of Ohio-specific, conceptual geologic knowledge. Most of the projects these students will be involved with during their careers will concern environmental problems that impact or are impacted by Ohio's geologic resources.
