In preparation for its reaccreditation visit from the Higher Learning Commission (HLC) of the North Central Association, Hocking College engaged in an extensive self-study process. Members of the college community engaged in self-assessment and reflection in an effort to assure the college was meeting and continues to meet the highest standards of teaching, learning and institutional accountability.

HLC visitors were on campus November 7-9, 2011. The visiting team consisted of faculty and administrators from institutions across the country. Their role was to provide clarification and verification of the contents of the Self-Study Report. To achieve this purpose, they observed different areas of the college and talked to Hocking College students, faculty, staff, administrators, the president and the Board of Trustees. At the conclusion of their visit, the team provided a summary of their findings and preliminary recommendations and submitted a final report to the HLC board for approval.

Hocking College students, faculty, staff, administrators and community members were encouraged to take part in the visit by reading the Self-Study Report, which is available on this website for your review. We are proud of the work that went into the reaccreditation process and are confident that our efforts will make us a stronger and more effective institution of higher learning.
