FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Yes. When students receive an on-campus housing assignment, they're automatically signed up for the 14 Meals/Week plan. You can change your meal plan to the 19 Meals/Week option at any time. However, if you change your plan after the beginning of the semester, you'll be charged the entire $80 difference between the plans. The cost will not be prorated, and you will not receive more than the 19 meals per week to make up for the difference.

Campus dining is also available to our commuting students. Non-residential students are able to choose from the above meal plan options. Non-residential students interested in purchasing a meal plan should contact the Cashiers office to arrange for payment.

Yes. Similar to housing, your financial aid is applied to tuition and course fees before you can use it for paying your meal plan.

Additional Hawk Bucks can be added to meal plans in $100 increments by calling or visiting the Cashiers' Office, located on the first floor of John Light Hall.

The Cashiers' phone number is 740-753-6294.

Meals not used for the week are not carried over to the following weeks.

Weekly meal allotments must be used by the end of the day on Saturday.  Meal allotments begin on Sunday morning.

Yes. Students are permitted to use their meal swipes to pay for guests.
No. Students must be present to use their meal swipe.

No. Any balance left on the Hawk Bucks plan at the end of the current semester cannot be carried forward to the following semester. It is important to only add the amount of funds that you think you will use to your Hawk Card plan. Any funds remaining at the end of the term will be lost!

Students without a meal plan can either pay cash or use a debit/credit card in the dining hall.
Your student ID will also serve as your meal card. To receive a student ID, you'll need to have your picture taken at the ID Office in the John Light Hall concourse.
