Financial Aid

Taking Classes Over the Summer?

Summer semester is considered the 'header' for each financial aid award year. Students are generally packaged with financial aid for the standard Autumn and Spring semesters. If you plan to include summer semester in your enrollment pattern, you must complete the Financial Aid Based on Summer Enrollment Form. This will confirm that you have reviewed the manner in which your will distributed over all terms of enrollment. Summer aid may consist of Federal Direct Loans and Federal Pell Grant based on eligibility. you may also receive the Ohio College Opportunity Grant (OCOG) if eligible.

Please note if you attended another institution, received aid for the same award year or overlapping loan period, you may not be eligible for some or all aid at Hocking College. Federal regulations prevents a student from receiving financial aid at more than one college or university within the same award year and/or loan period. It is important that you inform the Financial Aid Department of you current or previous enrollments within the last 9 months by completing the Overlapping Enrollment/Loan Period Form. Failure to notify Financial Aid Services of previous enrollments may result in a reduction or cancellation of aid at Hocking College.
