We Make Enrolling in College Easy for Distance Learning

If you are interested in applying to Hocking College, follow these steps to enroll:

Apply for Hocking College by clicking here.

Apply for the Active Duty Online Military Program by clicking here.

Make an appointment to speak with the director of the Veterans and Military Student Services Center.

Send your transcripts through the National Student Clearinghouse for any college credit outside of the military.

Send Community College of the Air Force transcripts to Hocking College Registrar, 3301 Hocking Pkwy, Nelsonville, Ohio 45764-9588. To request a transcript from CCAF, click here.

Students are able to order transcripts online 24 hours a day, seven days a week. There is a $5 fee for each transcript and an additional $2.25 fee for each destination. A valid credit card and email address is required to order online.

Once shipped, transcript orders can be tracked here.

For Army, Navy, and Marines:
Request Joint Services Transcript. Transcripts to be sent to Hocking College. 

  1. Register by creating an account.
  2. Request an official transcript.
  3. Send it to Hocking College.

When transcripts are received and evaluated students can schedule an appointment with Veteran services to review accepted credits

Post 9/11 GI Bill®, Montgomery GI Bill®*: Benefits should be applied for no later than 30 days prior to the semester start date. (VA.gov)

Ohio Guard Scholarship: Should be applied for no later than 30 days prior to the semester start date. Click here to view the scholarship portal.

Federal Tuition Assistance (FTA): Should be applied for no later than 11 days prior to the semester start date. (GOArmyEd)

Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA): If using FAFSA, the application must be completed here prior to enrolling in classes for each semester. For Semester start dates please see the Academic Calendar.

Pay amount due on your Student Account at the Cashier's Office of Hocking College.

This information will be available through your Self-Service portal.

Books will be available as e-books or as hard copies. They will be issued by your instructors during the first week of classes.

Important: The $300 learning fee for books is not covered by Post 9/11 G.I. Bill®. The G.I. Bill® Post 9/11 pays $1,000/year book stipend. This cost is the responsibility of the student.
